PHP2Shell: is your site’s PHP patched? Read the checklist →

Update WordPress without wondering what broke

UpdateCheckup™ checks your site before and after a PHP, plugin, theme, or core update. Then it tells you in plain English what changed, starting with what earns you money: ads, ads.txt, and tracking.

Coming soon The free before-and-after checkup is being built now. Leave your email and we’ll send one note when it’s live.

Patching PHP for PHP2Shell? I can do the upgrade for you.

I try the new PHP version on a staging copy of your site first. Then I switch your live site over, compare your key pages, ads.txt and ad code before and after, and fix whatever broke, all within 2 business days. If the upgrade breaks something, I fix it at no extra cost or refund you.

What the free checkup will look for

A screenshot tool can show you that pixels moved. The checkup names what broke, in WordPress terms, and puts the money first.

ads.txt
Your ads.txt file loads, reads correctly, and lists the same ad networks as before. One publisher’s ads.txt had worked for years until a plugin update made it return “not found,” and nothing warned her.
Ad and analytics code
AdSense, Mediavine, Raptive, Ezoic, Google Analytics and Tag Manager still load on your pages.
Error screens
WordPress’s “There has been a critical error” page, PHP warnings printed into the page, and blank white screens.
Leaked shortcodes
Text like [contact-form-7 id="42"] showing on a page means the plugin behind it stopped working. The checkup names the likely plugin.
Unstyled pages
Page-builder styles (Elementor, Divi) and stylesheets that stopped loading, so a page looks broken even though it “works.”
What changed in your software
WordPress, theme, and plugin versions read from your public pages, compared before and after, so a problem comes with a likely cause.
Before and after screenshots
Desktop and mobile, side by side, so you can see the difference yourself.

How it will work

  1. Check before you update. Paste your site address. No account, no plugin to install.
  2. Make your change. Upgrade PHP, update plugins, or let your developer do their work.
  3. Check again. You get a plain-English list of what changed, with the evidence behind each item.

The checkup only loads public pages, the way a visitor’s browser does. It doesn’t log in, fill in forms, or probe for security holes.

Built for sites that earn money

Bloggers and publishers running ads with Mediavine, Raptive, Ezoic or AdSense, and the freelancers and small agencies who look after their sites. If all you need is an alert when your site goes down, a simple uptime monitor will do. UpdateCheckup is for knowing your site still works after a change.
